Hi! I am Dr. Ericka Wigfall, PT, DPT, LSVT, Cert DN.
I graduated from THE Tuskegee University for undergrad, and then pursued physical therapy graduating from Emory University with a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). In addition to being LSVT BIG and Dry Needling Certified, I also am experienced with aquatic PT. I have practiced in various settings working with adults with balance issues, frequent falls, back, knee, neck, shoulder issues and more. I continue to learn and enjoy serving my patients for over 15 years.

High Point Physical Therapy exists to provide active adults in Atlanta private, expert, convenient, physical therapy service to those healing from injury, post-surgery, headaches, dealing with painful conditions such as back, hip, knee or shoulder pain, living with movement disorders, and/or adults who want to maintain wellness.
Our commitment to each client is:
To provide treatment plans that move you towards your goals
To be honest about my knowledge and your prognosis so you can achieve your best outcome.
To honor your time
To listen to your concerns and address them the best we can to achieve your best outcome
Please reach out by emailing info@highpointpt.atl.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Physical therapy can help you reduce your aches and pains, improve mobility and balance, increase strength, fall prevention, and enhance your overall quality of life.
During a typical physical therapy session at High Point PT, you will work one-on-one with your therapist to perform exercises, receive manual therapy, and learn strategies to manage your condition or injury. You can expect to be challenged and encouraged.
In order for me to give you the tailored one-on-one treatments, I am considered an Out of Network (OON) provider or self-pay.
As a self-pay provider, I accept direct payments from the client without the involvement of an insurance company. This means that I do not have a contract with insurance companies so, they cannot dictate the way I provide you service.
Therefore, payment is due at the time of service, or an agreed upon payment plan. If you have OON benefits with your insurance coverage, I can provide you with a superbill with the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
A superbill is an itemized invoice provided to a patient from a Physical Therapist/PT clinic that states what codes were used during your treatment to bill for Physical Therapy services. It is then sent to the insurance company by the patient in order for the patient to receive reimbursement from their insurance at the “out of network” rate.
Traditional PT:
-You can be surprised by insurance companies with the number of visits and cost
-You may not have the same provider the whole time
- Your treatment is based on the providers schedule
- Limited access to specialists
-Provider is juggling between 1-2 patients so, one-on-one care is sparse.
Self-pay PT:
-One on one care. You get all the attention.
-Flexible scheduling options (as I grow this will get better)
-Upfront price, no surprises.
-Better access to specialists when you need them.
-It's more fun! We can truly tailor anything to help you meet your goals.
Usually, you need a PT referral from the doctor. However, Georgia is a direct access state so, in the state of Georgia you do not need a physician's referral for an initial physical therapy evaluation. :-) We may see you for 21 days or 8 visits, whichever comes first, before we will need a prescription from an MD. PLEASE contact your insurance to learn their policy regarding direct access care for those seeking to use your out-of-network benefit.
