Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at highpointpt.atl@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Physical therapy can help you reduce your aches and pains, improve mobility and balance, increase strength, fall prevention, and enhance your overall quality of life.

This means that I come to you and/or we tailor your treatment time to a place meaningful to you achieving your PT goals.  It also means that you have more control over your time by not having to go to a clinic two or three times per week.

During a typical physical therapy session at High Point PT, you will work one-on-one with your therapist to perform exercises, receive manual therapy, and learn strategies to manage your condition or injury. You can expect to be challenged and encouraged.

Maybe. If you have  Aetna Medicare or TriCare, I am able to take your insurance.. Traditional Medicare  and Humana Medicare are currently pending approval at this time. Updated 11/16/24.

For everyone else, in order for me to give you the tailored one-on-one treatments, I am considered an Out of Network (OON) provider or self-pay. This means that I do not have a contract with insurance companies so, they cannot dictate the way I provide you service. Therefore, payment is due at the time of service. If you have OON insurance coverage, I can provide you with a superbill with the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

A superbill is an itemized invoice provided to a patient from a Physical Therapist/PT clinic that states what codes were used during your treatment to bill for Physical Therapy services. It is then sent to the insurance company by the patient in order for the patient to receive reimbursement from their insurance at the “out of network” rate.

Usually, you need a PT referral from the doctor. However, Georgia is a direct access state so, in the state of Georgia you do not need a physician's referral for an initial physical therapy evaluation. :-) We may see you for 21 days or 8 visits, whichever comes first, before we will need a prescription from an MD

Traditional PT:

-You can be surprised by insurance companies

-You may not have the same provider the whole time

- Your treatment is based on the providers schedule

- Limited access to specialists

-Provider is juggling between patients  so, one on one care is sparse.

Cash based PT:

-One on one care. You get all the attention.

-Flexible scheduling

-Upfront price, no surprises.

-Better access to specialists when you need them.

-It's more fun! We can truly tailor anything to help you meet your goals.

Right now we are serving  the Atlanta, East Point, Summer Hill, Grant Park, College Park, Mableton, and Smryna/Vinings areas.
